Regular Season Round 21: Boras II - RIG Mark 62-72

The game in Boras was also quite interesting. Second ranked RIG Mark (11-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Boras II (5-8). RIG Mark defeated Boras II 72-62 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Boras II. The game was mostly controlled by RIG Mark. Boras II managed to win third quarter 15-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Boras II to just 7 points in first quarter. RIG Mark forced 20 Boras II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was guard John Thornblom (194-0) who scored 7 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Eddie Czerapowicz (174-0) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. RIG Mark's coach Michael Bree let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Robin Alm (184-93) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Joakim Gustafsson (206-97) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Boras II players scored in double figures. RIG Mark maintains second place with 11-3 record having seven points less than leader KFUM Fryshuset. Newly promoted Boras II keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. RIG Mark will meet at home Haga BG (#4) in the next round. Boras II will play against Bankeryd and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
