Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Agribertocchi OR (4-21) was edged by thirteenth ranked UCC Piacenza (10-15) in Orzinuovi 76-74 on Saturday. Strangely Agribertocchi OR outrebounded UCC Piacenza 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American forward Jonathan Arledge (206-91, college: ODU, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Carlton Guyton (193-90, college: Kent St., agency: HMS) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 23 points and naturalized Argentinian Mario-Jose Ghersetti (201-81) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Agribertocchi OR. UCC Piacenza moved-up to twelfth place in A2. Newly promoted Agribertocchi OR keeps the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. UCC Piacenza will face higher ranked Imola (#10) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Agribertocchi OR will play against Bergamo (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
