Regular Season Round 27: UCAM Murcia II - Aldaia 82-70

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Aldaia (7-14) lost on the road to second ranked UCAM Murcia II (16-5) 82-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by UCAM Murcia II. Aldaia was better in fourth quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aldaia was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Sergio Mendiola (207-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Rodrigo Seoane (197-99) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four UCAM Murcia II players scored in double figures. Guard Vicente Sanchis (186-75) answered with 17 points and 4 assists and Carlos Hortelano added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Aldaia. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UCAM Murcia II maintains second place in Group E with 16-5 record behind leader Vic. Newly promoted Aldaia stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. UCAM Murcia II will face league's leader Gandia on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aldaia will play against Benidorm (#4) and hope to win that game.
