The game in Barcelona was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Maquinaria Ensino (17-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Barca CBS (13-10). Maquinaria Ensino defeated Barca CBS 75-65 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for American Margaret Roundtree (183-88, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: ProDep Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 assists. Alicia Villegas (174-95) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. Roundtree is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Maquinaria Ensino's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Carla Perez (-91) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Lucia Pablos (172-85, college: Northeastern) scored 15 points and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Maquinaria Ensino have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Aros Patatas. Newly promoted Barca CBS keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Maquinaria Ensino will face Cortegada (#6) in Vilagarcia Arousa in the next round. Barca CBS will play on the road against Arxil Pontevedra and hope to win that game.
