Regular Season Round 27: Estudio - Quintanar 81-55

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Quintanar (9-15) was outscored by twelfth ranked Estudio (8-15) in Madrid 81-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Estudio led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Quintanar's players. It was a good game for point guard Juan Llorente (180-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Gabriel Rodriguez (198) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Estudio players scored in double figures. Estudio's coach Borja Gonzalez felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Skyler Burgess (196, college: Pacific) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Khion Sankey (196, college: Lipscomb) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Quintanar. Newly promoted Estudio maintains twelfth place in Group B with 8-15 record. Loser Quintanar keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Estudio will face Lanzarote (#14) in Arrecife in the next round.
