Everything went according to plan in Tokyo where first ranked Aishin Sea Horses (36-8) won against 5th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (22-22) 74-61 on Saturday. The former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) chipped in 21 points. Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) produced 8 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Kenta Hirose (193-85) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 36-8 record. Hitachi Sunrockers lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with 22 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face Yokohama BC (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Hitachi Sunrockers will play against Niigata Albirex (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
