No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Sluc Nancy (14-9) beat at home 10th ranked ALM Evreux (10-13) 73-63 on Saturday. ALM Evreux was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 30-15 charge of Sluc Nancy, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-90, college: Murray St.) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Mickael Var (205-90) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Steeve Ho-You-Fat (202-88) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for ALM Evreux in the defeat. ALM Evreux's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sluc Nancy maintains seventh place with 14-9 record. Loser ALM Evreux keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Rouen. Sluc Nancy will meet league's leader Entente Orleans 45 on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ALM Evreux will play against Aix-Maurienne (#12) in Aix-les-Bains and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
