An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Fukuoka. First ranked Fukuoka Rizing faced 4th ranked Dragonflies. Host Fukuoka Rizing (36-8) defeated guests from Hiroshima (21-23) 87-82. Fukuoka Rizing looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Daisuke Kobayashi (188-87) chipped in 18 points. American guard Terrence Drisdom (196-92, college: Cal Poly Pomona) produced 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) added 13 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dragonflies' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 36-8 record. Dragonflies lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 23 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face again Dragonflies (#4) in Hiroshima in the next round.
