Regular Season Round 27: Cazorla - Cordobasket 120-74

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Cazorla (16-5) crushed at home 9th ranked Cordobasket (9-13) 120-74 on Saturday. Cazorla shot 62.0 percent from the field and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Cazorla outrebounded Cordobasket 36-23 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Jalen Riley (182-93, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Steven Weidlich (185, college: Susquehanna, agency: Duran International) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Cazorla players scored in double figures. Venezuelan forward Albert Arias (194-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Adolfo Vega (195-97) added 9 points in the effort for Cordobasket. Cordobasket's coach Rafael Sanz gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Cazorla maintains second place in Group D-Clasif with 16-5 record behind leader Vic. Cordobasket lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Cazorla will face ULB OH!TELS (#7) in La Linea in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Cordobasket will play at home against Medacbasket and hope to win that game.
