Very predictable result when sixth ranked Limoges CSP Elite (13-10) defeated at home 11th ranked Cholet Basket (10-13) 67-60 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 18 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 7 points. Limoges CSP Elite dominated on the defensive end, holding Cholet Basket to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Brian Conklin (201-89, college: St.Louis) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Kenny Hayes (186-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 10 points. Limoges CSP Elite's coach Kyle Milling used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American Toddrick Gotcher (190-93, college: Texas Tech) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and center Jerry Boutsiele (207-92) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Limoges CSP Elite moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bourg and Nanterre. Loser Cholet Basket dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Limoges CSP Elite will face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cholet Basket will play against Levallois and hope to win that game.
