Important game to mention about took place in Tbilisi. Eighth ranked DELTA (8-15) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (15-8) 77-75 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dinamo Tbilisi. Dinamo Tbilisi was ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 24-13 third quarter run of DELTA. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Point guard Nickolas Neal (183-89, college: Purdue-NCent.) scored 27 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Lavell Boyd (183-94, college: UMKC) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and center Kiel Turpin (213-89, college: Florida St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Four Dinamo Tbilisi players scored in double figures. Newly promoted DELTA maintains eighth position with 8-15 record. Defending champion Dinamo Tbilisi keeps the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with Rustavi. DELTA will play against league's leader Kutaisi on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dinamo Tbilisi will play against Batumi and hopes to get back on the winning track.
