Regular Season Round 23: Cagliari CUS - Albino 50-70

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Cagliari CUS (5-18) was outplayed at home by tenth ranked Albino (7-16) 70-50 on Saturday. Albino outrebounded Cagliari CUS 47-30 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (175-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 14 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Chiara Rossi (170-88, agency: LBM Management) responded with 23 points and forward Giulia Ridolfi (182-94) scored 4 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Albino maintains tenth place in A2 with 7-16 record. Loser Cagliari CUS keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Albino will face Fanola SML (#16) in San Martino di L in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Cagliari CUS will play on the road against Team Crema and hope to win that game.
