Regular Season Round 20: Tresnjevka - Pula C.Tours 91-67

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Tresnjevka (15-3) crushed 5th ranked Pula C.Tours (10-9) in Zagreb 91-67. The game was mostly controlled by Tresnjevka. Pula C.Tours was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Pula C.Tours to just 7 points in first quarter. Tresnjevka dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Pula C.Tours' 28. Tresnjevka forced 24 Pula C.Tours turnovers and outrebounded them 43-23 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tresnjevka players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Pula C.Tours' players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marija Galic (182-99) who helped to win the game recording 26 points (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and guard Karla Erjavec (172-99) who added 12 points and 9 assists during the contest. Four Tresnjevka players scored in double figures. The former international guard Lana Packovski (170-94) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Lea Hajdin (181-98) scored 21 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tresnjevka maintains second position with 15-3 record behind leader Medvescak. Pula C.Tours at the other side keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Tresnjevka will play against KK Zadar (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Pula C.Tours will play against Podravac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
