Regular Season Round 12: Blumenau - Santo Andre 51-50

The most exciting game of round 12 in the LBF took place in Blumenau. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Santo Andre (6-4) to fifth ranked Blumenau (6-6) 51-50 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan Waleska Perez (180-94, college: Weatherford JC) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Jennifer Calixto (189-97) chipped in 7 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Jaqueline Silvestre (178-86) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Debora Fernandes (165-91) added 5 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Blumenau moved-up to fourth place. Santo Andre at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Blumenau will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Santo Andre will play on the road against SBC/Brazolin/UNIP in Sao Bernardo and is hoping to win this game.
