Sixth-ranked Yokohama BC (11-33) made lots of trouble for third ranked Diamond Dolphins (22-22) in Nagoya. Diamond Dolphins managed to secure only two-point victory 73-71. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Taito Nakahigashi (190-92) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: Connecticut) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and American forward William McDonald (206-79, college: Grambling St.) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Yokohama BC. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Diamond Dolphins moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Yokohama BC lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 33 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will play against Osaka Evessa (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Yokohama BC will play against the league's leader Aishin Sea Horses and hopes to get back on the winning track.
