Regular Season Round 45: Kumamoto V. - Bambitious Nara 97-85

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Bambitious Nara (11-33) lost on the road to second ranked Kumamoto V. (32-12) 97-85 on Sunday. Kumamoto V. made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Bambitious Nara was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) who led his team to a victory with 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Ryota Nakanishi (199-88) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American forward Joshua Dollard (203-86, college: Auburn) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: N.Mexico St.) added 16 points in the effort for Bambitious Nara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kumamoto V.. They maintain second place with 32-12 record having just five point less than leader Akita NH. Loser Bambitious Nara keeps the sixth position with 33 games lost. Kumamoto V. will face league's leader Fukuoka Rizing at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bambitious Nara will play against Orange Vikings (#3) and hope to win that game.
