Regular Season Round 25: Aurora Jesi - Roseto Sharks 73-80

There was an upset when higher ranked Aurira Jesi (13-12) lost at home to fifteenth ranked Roseto Sharks (5-20) 80-73 on Sunday. It was a very good performance for naturalized American point guard Matt Carlino (189-92, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Roseto Sharks' coach Emanuele Di Paolantonio used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Luca Fontecchio (202-91, agency: Players Group) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the former international power forward Tommaso Rinaldi (205-85, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Aurira Jesi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Roseto Sharks maintains fifteenth place in A2 with 5-20 record. Loser Aurira Jesi keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Roseto Sharks will face higher ranked Dinamica MNV (#11) in Mirandola in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
