The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Umana Venezia as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Umana Venezia smashed 8th ranked MIA-RO Cantu at home 107-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MIA-RO Cantu. Umana Venezia dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to MIA-RO Cantu's 44.
