Regular Season Round 26: Palestrina - Roma Luiss 90-88

Sixth-ranked Roma Luiss (17-9) were very close to win a game against first ranked Palestrina (21-4). Palestrina managed to secure only two-point victory 90-88. However their fans expected much easier game. Palestrina made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Roma Luiss were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Filippo Alessandri (190-89) scored 25 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Four Palestrina players scored in double figures. Center Eugenio Beretta (208-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and guard Leonardo Marcon (190-95, agency: Players Group) scored 15 points. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Palestrina maintains first position in B with 21-4 record. Roma Luiss at the other side dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Faenza and Lecco. Palestrina will play against Patti (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Roma Luiss will play against Scauri (#10) and hope to get back on the winning track.
