No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Faenza (17-9) beat at home 13th ranked Lugo (8-18) 88-74 on Sunday. Faenza dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Lugo's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Swingman Gioacchino Chiappelli (198-91, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Marco Perin (185-93) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Power forward Giacomo Filippini (204-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and guard Michele Rubbini (185-99) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Lugo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Faenza have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Lecco. Lugo lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Faenza will face Tessilform Bernareggio (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lugo will play against Vicenza and hope to win that game.
