No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Montegrano (16-9) beat 11th ranked Dinamica MNV (12-13) in Mirandola 91-85 on Sunday. Montegrano made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Luca Vencato (195-95, agency: Players Group) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists and the former international power forward Francesco Candussi (211-94) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Dinamica MNV. Four Montegrano and five Dinamica MNV players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Montegrano maintains fifth place in A2 with 16-9 record. Loser Dinamica MNV keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Montegrano will face Orasi Ravenna (#7) at home in the next round. Dinamica MNV will play against Roseto Sharks (#15) and hope to win that game.
