Regular Season Round 23: Vicenza - Udine Delser 52-60

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Vicenza (14-9) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Udine Delser (13-10) 60-52 on Sunday. Udine Delser dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Vicenza's 26. Udine Delser forced 21 Vicenza turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Debora Vicenzotti (182-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Eva Da-Pozzo (180-95) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (190-99, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Eleonora Zanetti (183-94, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Udine Delser maintains eighth place in A2 with 13-10 record. Loser Vicenza keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Udine Delser will face Carugate (#13) in Corugate in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
