Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Bergen: Gimle Pride (#3) and Bergen (#6). Gimle Pride (12-6) smashed visiting Bergen (3-13) by 44 points 80-36. The game without a history. Gimle Pride led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Bergen to just 2 points in first quarter. Gimle Pride held Bergen to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Gimle Pride forced 31 Bergen turnovers and outrebounded them 44-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Bergen's players. Guard Karoline Falch-Monsen (169-98) notched 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and forward Birte Hegrenaes (177-88) supported her with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Gimle Pride's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds by guard Maria Hanes (180-99) did not help to save the game for Bergen. Guard Tuva Andersen (174-0) added 9 points for lost side. Gimle Pride moved-up to second place. Bergen lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Gimle Pride will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bergen will play at home against Asker (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
