Regular Season Round 19: Olympiacos - Kolossos HH 83-72

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Olympiacos (15-4) beat 7th ranked Kolossos HH (9-10) in Pireus 83-72. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. Kolossos HH was better in fourth quarter 29-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Olympiacos outrebounded Kolossos HH 37-24 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international forward Ioannis Papapetrou (203-94, college: Texas) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian center Nikola Milutinov (212-94) helped adding 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard TJ Bray (196-92, college: Princeton) responded with 18 points, 5 assists and 5 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Brandon Young (193-91, college: De Paul, agency: Two Points) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Olympiacos. They maintain second place with 15-4 record having four points less than leader Panathinaikos. Kolossos HH lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Olympiacos will play against Koroivos (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kolossos HH will play against PAOK (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
