Regular Season Round 5: Brasilia - Sao Jose 51-60

Liga Ouro top team - Sao Jose (7-0) managed to deliver another win on Monday. This time they beat sixth ranked Brasilia (2-3) 60-51. Douglas Nunes (208-87) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Helio-Vitor Lima (185-81) accounted for 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Sao Jose players scored in double figures. Guard Leonardo Eltink (193-95) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Rodrigo Alves (189-94) added 9 points respectively for Brasilia in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Sao Jose. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Loser Brasilia keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Sao Jose will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brasilia will play against the league's second-placed Corinthians (#2) and hope to secure a win.
