Very expected game when 14th ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (6-17) was defeated on the road by third ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (16-7) 88-82 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for guard Daniel Danino (185-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Illinois) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Jimmy Hall (203-94, college: Kent St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Dion Wright (201-93, college: St.Bonaventure) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Ironi Kiryat Ata and four Hapoel Migd.H. players scored in double figures. Ironi Kiryat Ata moved-up to second place, which they share with Macc.Rehovot. Loser Hapoel Migd.H. stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Ironi Kiryat Ata will meet Hapoel B/S (#5) in the next round. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hapoel Afula (#11) and hope to secure a win.
