Regular Season Round 24: Cholet - Levallois 63-65

A very interesting game took place in Cholet. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 13th ranked Cholet Basket (10-14) to tenth ranked Levallois (12-12) 65-63 on Tuesday evening. Cholet Basket was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 19-10 third quarter run of Levallois. The winners were led by American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Maxime Roos (202-95) supported him with 11 points. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by American power forward Yancy Gates (206-89, college: Cincinnati) did not help to save the game for Cholet Basket. Center Jerry Boutsiele (207-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. Levallois moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Cholet Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Levallois' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Le Mans on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cholet Basket will play against Chalon/Saor (#16) and hope to win that game.
