Regular Season Round 24: Nantes - Lille 60-80

Date: March 20, 2018
Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Nantes (7-17) was rolled over at home by sixth ranked Lille Metropole (16-8) 80-60 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Lille Metropole. Nantes was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nantes was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists and the other American import forward Rakeem Buckles (203-90, college: FIU) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron, agency: Octagon Europe) with 10 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Ivorian swingman Guy-Landry Edi (202-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Promotex) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lille Metropole moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Fos-Provence and Saint-Chamond. Nantes lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Lille Metropole will face league's second-placed Entente Orleans 45 at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Nantes will play against Saint Chamond (#6) and hope to win that game.
