Regular Season Round 20: TLU/Kalev - TTU 85-91
Date: March 20, 2018
Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Tallinn: TTU (#7) and TLU/Kalev (#5). TLU/Kalev was defeated at home 85-91 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. TLU/Kalev was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette, agency: Blacktop Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and power forward Matthias Tass (208-99) who added 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Giese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Kayel Locke (196-94, college: NC-Greensboro) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TTU maintains seventh position with 5-17 record. Loser TLU/Kalev keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. TTU will meet at home league's second-placed Tartu Ulikool in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. TLU/Kalev's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tallinn to the arena Kalev/Cramo.
