Regular Season Round 24: Bourg - Dijon 78-96

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked JL Bourg (13-11) was defeated at home by seventh ranked JDA Dijon (13-11) 96-78 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 56-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. JDA Dijon dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to JL Bourg's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Chadian forward Jacques Alingue (201-88) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field). American Rion Brown (198-91, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Garrett Sim (188-90, college: Oregon) added 19 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JL Bourg's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. JDA Dijon moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated JL Bourg. JDA Dijon will face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. JL Bourg will play against the league's second-placed Le Mans (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
