An exciting game was when third ranked Third ranked Chunghwa Telecom faced second-best Taiyuan Textile. Chunghwa Telecom (8-9) defeated Taiyuan Textile (10-7) 60-51. Chunghwa Telecom forced 24 Taiyuan Textile turnovers. The best player for the winners was international swingman Yen-Yu Chen (169-94) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
