Rather predictable result when first ranked Salon Vilpas (29-8) rolled over at home 3rd placed Tampereen Pyrinto (21-15) 88-61 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Salon Vilpas. Tampereen Pyrinto was better in fourth quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Tampereen Pyrinto 42-31 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tampereen Pyrinto was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds.
