There was no surprise when 6th ranked Tokyo Z (18-28) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR (24-21) 78-74 on Wednesday. American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) chipped in 17 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Masuko Takumi (186-91) responded with 12 points, 8 assists and 5 steals and guard Tatsuya Nishiyama (171-88) scored 17 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Cyberdyne IR have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Tokyo Z lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 28 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will have a break next round. Tokyo Z will play again at home against Cyberdyne IR (#3) and hope to win that game.
