Second Stage Round 8: Louaize - Tadamon 77-93

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Zouk: Tadamon (#4) and Louaize (#3). Louaize was smashed at home by 16 points 77-93 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The winners were led by American guard Larry Blair (183-84, college: Liberty) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import guard Steven Pledger (193-90, college: Oklahoma) supported him with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds by Australian-South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203-92, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Louaize. Guard Jimmy Salem (190-95) added 20 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tadamon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position in Group B with 5-19 record. Louaize lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the third place with 17 games lost. Tadamon will meet at home league's leader Al Moutahed in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Louaize will have a break next round.
