Regular Season Round 23: Monaco - Nanterre 77-72

There was an upset when 4th placed Nanterre (13-9) lost on the road to thirteenth ranked Monaco (12-11) 77-72 on Wednesday. DR Congolese Shekinah Munanga (201-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian-South African point guard Austin Van Zyl (193-99) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Power forward Ousmane Dabo (200-97) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Maxence Dadiet (192-99) added 17 points in the effort for Nanterre. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Monaco. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bourg. Loser Nanterre dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Monaco will face higher ranked Limoges (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nanterre will play against CCRB Pro and hope to win that game.
