Regular Season Round 24: Polski Cukier - BM Slam Stal 65-83

The most important game in the last round took place in Torun between second ranked Twarde Pierniki (18-9) and sixth ranked BM Slam Stal (16-9) on Thursday night. Twarde Pierniki was defeated by BM Slam Stal at home 65-83. BM Slam Stal looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 assists. Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: 3Eye) replied with 9 points and 7 assists and international Aaron Cel (203-87) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Twarde Pierniki. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BM Slam Stal moved-up to fifth place. Twarde Pierniki lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with nine games lost. BM Slam Stal are looking forward to face Wilki Morskie (#6) in Szczecin in the next round. Twarde Pierniki will play at home against GTK and is hoping to win this game.
