Very expected game when 15th ranked Miasto Szkla (8-18) lost on the road to fourth ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (17-10) 96-86 on Thursday. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza outrebounded Miasto Szkla 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 21 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American forward DJ Shelton (208-91, college: Washington St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) supported him with 28 points and 9 assists. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Jayvaughn Pinkston (201-91, college: Villanova) did not help to save the game for Miasto Szkla. Croatian guard Jakov Mustapic (193-94) added 17 points. Four Miasto Szkla players scored in double figures. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza maintains fourth position with 17-10 record. Miasto Szkla lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 18 games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will meet Czarni (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Miasto Szkla will play against Rosa in Radom and hope to secure a win.
