Fourth-ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (21-16) gave a tough game to second ranked Kauhajoki (26-12) on Friday. The visitors from Kauhajoki managed to secure only four-point victory 111-107. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 22-19 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 4-point victory in overtime. Kauhajoki made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. Tampereen Pyrinto was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. They maintain second position with 26-12 record having just two points less than leader Salon Vilpas. Tampereen Pyrinto at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 16 games lost. Kauhajoki will have a break next round. Tampereen Pyrinto will play on the road against Joensuun Kataja (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
