Very predictable result when fourth ranked Leon (15-11) defeated at home 14th ranked Culleredo (8-18) 75-65 on Friday. Leon forced 21 Culleredo turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Javier Laborda (197-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Colby Taylor (198-94, college: Central, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Leon players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Ryan Burnett (196-92, college: Columbus St.) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds and center Mario Cabanas (207-85) scored 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leon maintains fourth position in Group A-B with 15-11 record. Culleredo lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifteenth place with 18 games lost. Leon will face Ponferrada CDP (#8) on the road in the next round. Culleredo will play against Estudiantes L. (#10) and hope to win that game.
