There was no surprise when 17th ranked Hyeres-Toulon (7-17) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Le Portel (12-12) 80-67 on Friday. The game without a history. Le Portel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 22 points and 5 assists. Naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (203-85) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Vafessa Fofana (198-92) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds and American-Armenian point guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) added 16 points respectively. Four Hyeres-Toulon players scored in double figures. Le Portel have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hyeres-Toulon lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 17 games lost.
