Regular Season Round 21: Brod na Savi - Pozega 60-67

Rather expected game in Slavonski Brod where 11th ranked Brod na Savi (1-18) was defeated by ninth ranked Plamen Pozega (7-12) 67-60 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-12. But Brod na Savi won second period 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Plamen Pozega won last quarter 23-17. The best player for the winners was guard Kristina Soldo (177-88) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Lana Hrmic chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Mihaela Lazic (168-0) who recorded 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and center Marina Curkovic (186-88) added 11 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Plamen Pozega maintains ninth place with 7-12 record. Brod na Savi lost their fourteenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Plamen Pozega will meet at home higher ranked Sibenik (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brod na Savi will play against the league's leader ZKK Medvescak (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
