Regular Season Round 29: Tochigi Brex - Toshiba BT 82-77

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Toshiba Thunders (32-14) against fourth ranked Tochigi Brex (25-21) on Saturday night. Visiting Toshiba Thunders were defeated by Tochigi Brex in a tough game in Tochigi 77-82. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) nailed 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. American power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds and the former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-91) added 19 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) respectively for Toshiba Thunders in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 25-21 record. Loser Toshiba Thunders keep the third position with 14 games lost. Tochigi Brex will meet Hitachi Sunrockers (#5) in the next round. Toshiba Thunders will play against the league's second-placed Toyota Alvark and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
