Regular Season Round 3: Kalamunda E.S. - Joondalup W. 96-121

Date: March 24, 2018
Rather predictable result in Kalamunda where Wanneroo (2-0) outscored Suns (1-2) 121-96 on Saturday. Wanneroo made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Suns' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wanneroo made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Jalen Billups (198-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) who scored 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized Greek guard Trian Iliadis (190-89, college: ODU) chipped in 29 points and 5 assists. Five Wanneroo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds and guard Kerrod Horn (187-93) added 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wanneroo will face Redbacks in Northbridge in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Suns will play at home against Eagles (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
