There was a small surprise in MorĂ³n de la Frontera where eleventh ranked Real Canoe (12-14) defeated 8th ranked Moron (13-14) 82-78 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-78. The best player for the winners was Jose-Miguel Perez (202-96) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Ander Martinez (199-95, agency: Duran International) chipped in 15 points. Real Canoe's coach Miguel Angel Aranzabal used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Taylor Cameron (196-91, college: Winona St.) produced 25 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Jose Jimenez (197-96) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Real Canoe moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Myrtia. Loser Moron keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Real Canoe will face Plasencia (#13) at home in the next round.
