Regular Season Round 28: Naron - Rosalia 94-78

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Rosalia (9-17) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Naron (12-14) 94-78 on Saturday. Naron outrebounded Rosalia 41-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American Shanon Fowler (-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 17-of-21 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Dom Hunter (183-93, college: Cent.Washington) who added 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Nilo Barreiro (192-95) responded with 22 points and 4 steals and American power forward Antonio Bishop (206, college: Columbus St.) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Rosalia players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Naron have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place in Group A-B, which they share with Estudiantes L. Rosalia lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Naron will face higher ranked Chantada (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Rosalia will play against COB (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
