Regular Season Round 24: Leganes - Adareva 95-38

Very expected game when 13th ranked Adareva (4-20) was rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Leganes (15-9) 95-38 on Saturday. The game without a history. Leganes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Adareva to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Leganes dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Adareva's 28. Leganes forced 20 Adareva turnovers and outrebounded them 56-24 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Adareva's players. The best player for the winners was Icelandic forward Hildur Kjartansdottir (188-94, college: UTRGV, agency: ProDep Management) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Kiara Kudron (188, college: Gonzaga) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Leganes' coach Nacho Garcia felt very confident using 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Kim Tabares who recorded 17 points and Chilean point guard Sendy Basaez (170-96) added 5 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Leganes maintains fifth position in Group B with 15-9 record. Adareva lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with 20 games lost. Leganes will face Distrito Olimpico (#11) in Madrid in the next round where they are favorite. Adareva will play at home against Promete and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
