Very predictable result when third ranked Palermo (18-4) outscored at home 14th ranked Cagliari V. (3-19) 90-65. Palermo dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Cagliari V.'s 42. Palermo forced 21 Cagliari V. turnovers and outrebounded them 35-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Cagliari V. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Lithuanian center Ieva Preskienyte (193-93, agency: ProDep Management) who scored that evening 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Marta Verona (176-94) supported her with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field).
