An interesting game took place in Thessaloniki where higher ranked Promitheas (12-8) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Aris (7-13) 68-64 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Promitheas. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Giannis Athinaiou (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and international point guard Eleftherios Bochoridis (193-94) who added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. International point guard Nikolaos Gikas (186-91, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 15 points and 6 assists and center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points. Aris moved-up to tenth place, which they share with G.Larissa-Faros. Promitheas at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Aris will face league's leader Panathinaikos in Athens in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Promitheas will play at home against Cretan Kings (#9) and hope to win that game.
