We should mention about the upset which took place in Mar del Plata, where higher ranked Quilmes MP (10-18) lost at home to nineteenth ranked Ferrocarril (8-16) 82-86 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Quilmes MP. Ferrocarril dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Quilmes MP's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Center Jose-Ignacio Alessio (203-87) fired 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Kevin Hernandez (204-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Ferrocarril's coach Hernan Laginestra used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Puerto Rican Ricardo Sanchez (212-87, agency: BeoBasket) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and Enzo Ruiz (193-88) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Four Quilmes MP players scored in double figures. Ferrocarril moved-up to seventeenth place. Loser Quilmes MP keeps the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Ferrocarril's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Buenos Aires .
