Regular Season Round 26: La Roda - Lucentum 89-86

The most exciting game of round 26 in the LEB Silver took place in La Roda. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked HLA Alicante (18-8) to second ranked La Roda (20-6) 89-86 on Saturday evening. La Roda outrebounded HLA Alicante 44-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. American guard DeAngelo Hailey (190-90, college: NW Missouri St.) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Pedro Rivero (186-79) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ignacio Diaz (200-87) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. HLA Alicante's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Roda have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Granada. HLA Alicante at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. La Roda is looking forward to face Myrtia (#10) in Murcia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HLA Alicante will play at home against Fundacion 5+11 (#11) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
